FM Retail is our product line, an
extension of Business Central, specifically designed for national and
international trade businesses. Sometimes, when the standard solution reaches
its limits, practical add-on applications come to the rescue. These applications
seamlessly integrate with your processes, ensuring a harmonious flow. We’ve
pooled the experiences of our consultants from countless global projects into
the development of the new FM Retail product line.
Item status management for more flexibility!
All items, especially in trade but also in other industries, typically undergo an individual life cycle. Initially, the item is newly defined and then goes through an introductory phase into business processes. During this time, it has a shorter or longer active phase, followed by an extended phase where it is gradually phased out. In this later phase, remaining stock could be sold off, and new acquisitions may not be intended.
While standard solutions allow for restrictions on usage, these typically apply to entire areas rather than specific business processes. With the product “FM Retail – Item Status”, items can now be managed within individual business processes along their lifecycles.
By using this Business Central add-on you can freely define various statuses for your items and assign each status its own blocking logic. This allows precise control and influence over individual business processes within the modules in Business Central purchase, sales, assembly or production.
